Nigeria’s Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, has questioned the competences of Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, after Nigeria’s not-too-impressive home and away ties with Sierra Leone in the AFCON qualifiers.
The super Eagles threw away a four-goal lead at home to draw 4-4, before playing out a goalless draw in Freetown on Tuesday.
The minister said that Nigerian football deserves better and threatened that the needful would be done.
“The performance of the Super Eagles from their last two matches calls to question the suitability and competences of Technical Adviser, Rohr, Nigerian football deserves better. The needful will be done,” Dare tweeted
The Minister apologised to all football lovers across the country for the unfortunate incident.
