Not a few still don’t understand why some PDP members can not read the latest Political development in this country correctly. They keep reading all sorts of meanings and insinuations to the visit of some APC Governors to celebrate one of their own, in the Government and administration of Nigeria, former President Goodluck Jonathan, during his 63rd birthday.
Then came the PDP official position on the visit, through its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan. The Party deluded itself thinking that Goodluck Jonathan is still with the PDP. The PDP was blinded to the fact that Goodluck Jonathan is a member of President Buhari’s team and an integral part of the APC Government.
Many Nigerians are very surprised that the PDP still doesn’t know that Goodluck Jonathan is to President Muhammadu Buhari what Karounwi Oladapo is to Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State. They, Goodluck Jonathan and Karounwi Oladapo, occupied the position of “Special Envoy on Regional matters” to their Principals
How many times in recent time has Goodluck Jonathan been given Regional assignments to Mali, West Africa and other Africa Countries by Mr. President and he delivered to the admiration of all, including the Regional Leaders. On many occasions, the world saw Goodluck Jonathan on the Television and read him on Print media while given reports of his Regional activities to the President in the Aso Rock Villa.
The PDP should stop lamenting and look elsewhere. Goodluck Jonathan is no longer looking in the direction of PDP. The fact the PDP refused to accept during the last Gubernatorial elections in Balyesa State, even when the blind could see!
The PDP can continue its delusion of grandeur. The fact is many PDP Leaders are already in APC ahead of 2023 Presidential elections.
The more you look, the less you see. The journey to 2023 presidency is becoming interesting by the day.
