….inspects ongoing Poultry Project.
It was an historic event yesterday as member of House of Representatives representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1(Oye/Ikole), Hon. Barr. Peter Owolabi (MHR) flagged off the distribution of Instructional Materials to schools across his Constituency.
The materials which Include Generators, Office Shelf and cabinets, Office Tables and chairs, Sets of Computers, Textbooks, Plastic Furnitures sets – was aimed at making teaching and learning easier and to further ease the efforts of the Ekiti State Government under the leadership of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in the improvement of the Quality of Education across the state.

It was a carnival-like event at the schools visited as both staff and students could not contain their excitements at the very important intervention. The authorities of the schools visited sang songs of gratitude and promised to utilize the items effectively, and also took their turns to demand for more assistance in a bid to further boost effective teaching and learning.
In his remarks, Hon. Peter Owolabi promised to do more, stating that more schools will be visited very soon.
Meanwhile, Hon. Peter Owolabi has ordered the immediate fixing of Burglary windows to improve the security of properties at Holy Apostolic Primary School, Ootunja Ekiti. This was done in response to the request made by the Headmistress of the school.
In addition, Hon. Peter Owolabi also visited the site of the Integrated Poultry Project and Fishery, along Ikole Ijesa Isu road to inspect the level of work done so far.
This Integrated Poultry & Fishery Site will comprise Hatchery for Poultry & Fishery, Poultry Feed and Fish meal Factory, Poultry Slaughter House, Poultry Processing Plant including Sausages & other poultry products & Industrial Oven for smoking and preservation of the fishes.
This multi-million naira project is designed to engage capable hands, attract investors, create multiple source of employments and boost the economy of his Constituency and Ekiti State at large.
He reiterated is commitment to Human Capital development and gave assurances that the project will be completed very soon. He encouraged the Contractor to maintain a good standard in the course of service delivery.
