The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 712 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 82,747.
Nigeria also recorded 4 new coronavirus related deaths on Friday, taking the total death toll to 1,246.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Friday.
Of this figure, Lagos posted more than half, peaking at 388 fresh cases, an increase from the 316 cases it recorded the previous day.
Abuja, which recorded 210 cases on Thursday saw fewer cases on Friday, peaking at 77 new cases.
