The Ekiti State Football Association Chairman, Mr. Bayo Olanlege has said the Oba Ademola Ajakaiye Memorial U-13 football will start this weekend.
As at the last count last night (Thursday) a total of nine local government have registered out of the 16 to play in the competition. They are; Irepodun Ifelodun, Gbonyin, Ado, Ido Osi, Oye, Moba, Ikere, Emure and Efon.
Olanlege harped on the fact that time is of essence and the organizers of the competition led by the chairman of the Ekiti state chapter of SWAN, Mr.Qozeem Oladapo cannot wait forever to get things done hence the delay will continue.
“Our mission in Ekiti football is youth development through sports, We don’t have any major source of income, Whatever we do for the youth today is what they will refer to as history tomorrow, We must push ourselves and do what is needed to be done, We are going to start the U-13 football competition on Sunday, Even if it’s with 10 teams.
