Ahmed Gulak, a former Political Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been shot dead.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was shot by gunmen in Owerri in Imo state.
Though details of the incident are still sketchy, it was learnt that Gulak was shot while returning to Abuja from Owerri.
Sources said that he was ambushed while on his way to Sam Mbakwe International Cargo airport.
Abutu Yaro, Imo state Commissioner of Police, confirmed the development.
The CP said, “It is true but the details are sketchy. I am on the way to the airport. Please call the CP in charge of Airport. He will give more details. You know that Imo command is different from Airport command.”
