The Lagos State Police Command has said it is not aware that the self-acclaimed Yoruba freedom activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho is planning to storm Lagos for a Yoruba nation rally.
It was gathered that Igboho had made his intention known for a mass rally to sensitize residents about his secession agenda.
Igboho said he would storm the Centre of Excellence on July 3 for the next Yoruba nation rally.
It would be recalled that similar rallies were held recently in Ogun, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States.
However, the Lagos State Police command said they are not aware of any planned protest by Sunday Igboho.
Lagos Police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, in an interview with newsmen on Monday said the command would react appropriately when it is informed of the planned mass rally in Lagos.
Adejobi said: “I am not aware of that (Sunday Igboho’s planned Lagos rally). When the command is aware, the command will react to that. For now, as I speak with you, we are not aware of that.”
