▫️Construction of 3.2km runway is ongoing.

▫️ The Ekiti Cargo airport is a critical component of the broader strategy to make Ekiti a knowledge hub, a medical tourism destination, an agro cargo transport, and an Infotech hub.

▫️Governor Fayemi embarked on the project to position #Ekiti as an Agro-Business Hub both as National & Intl Cargo gateway in Nigeria.

▫️ This project further opens up the state to attract tourists and skilled migration to boost IGR, serve the southwest and middle belt food basket region, improve commercial activity as a “dry port” for fresh and processed products and make Ekiti State a logistics hub in the agro-allied industry. 

▫️The airport is also 20 minutes drive from Ikogosi and Arinta, thereby increasing cultural & recreational #tourism.

Governor Fayemi has invested in #infrastructure that will increase Ekiti’s economic dev & competitiveness in the global markets.
