Nigerians have commended Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and wished him well over his successful knee surgery.
According to them, the VP showed faith in Nigerian hospitals by having his surgical procedure done in one of them.
Recall that Osinbajo was admitted to the Duchess International Hospital GRA, Lagos, on Saturday on account of a fracture of his right femur possibly related to a longstanding injury associated with a game of squash and undergone a successful surgical procedure.
The VP is also expected to be discharged within the next few days.
Reacting, @DrJoeAbah tweeted, “VP Osinbajo had his surgery done in Nigeria. As it should be.”
@Osi_Suave stated, “The VP had his surgery done in Nigeria. Can’t lead people when you don’t believe in the health facilities.”
“The fact that he uses our local hospital is a thing of encouragement. May the good Lord grant him speedy recovery,” @ThormiwahEmman1 wrote.
“Something is special about this Osinbajo; he just believes in Nigeria. Instead of him to go on medical trip, he chose to treat himself in Nigeria,” @Adetutu wrote.
@PoojaMedia tweeted, “Get well soon boss. Good you didn’t travel out. Good politician.”
“Beautiful to see one of our leaders believing in our health system. Quick recovery your excellency,” @Tricky_Blue said.
“A commendable show of faith in our system. Someday all our leaders will do the same,” @omo_irepodun tweeted.
@AishaYesufu stated, “Wishing you a quick recovery. May God heal you completely.”
