The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, held a meeting on Sunday night with Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Abdullahi Adamu, the chairman of the party.

All Nigeria Latest News reports that the meeting comes ahead of the formal flag-off of the party’s presidential campaign, scheduled to take place in Jos, the Plateau capital, on November 15.

The meeting involving President Buhari, Bola Tinubu, and Abdullahi Adamu occurred shortly after Buhari’s return to Nigeria from the United Kingdom.

The President returned to the country on Sunday night after spending 13 days in the UK — he had travelled on October 31 for “routine” medical checkup.

Special assistant to the president on digital communications, Bashir Ahmad, announced the meeting in a tweet on Sunday night.
