In Rivers State, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is leading his counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
All Nigeria Latest News reports that the results of the three local government areas declared at the INEC collation centre in Port Harcourt on Sunday showed that Tinubu won two of the councils, while Obi clinched one.
In Tai Local Government Area, Tinubpolled 9,442 votes to defeat Atiku, who got 1,506 votes, and Obi, who had 486 votes.
In Opobo-Nkoro, Tinubu polled 5,701 votes to win the council followed by Obi with 2,093 and Atiku, who got 1,542 votes.
But in Ahoada-West, Obi won with 4,634 votes followed closely by Tinubu, who got 3,443 and Atiku, who polled 2,582.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Charles Teddy Adias, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Otuoke in the presence of the Rivers State Electoral Commissioner, Johnson Sinikiem.
