The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has won Saturday’s presidential election in Rivers State.
Tinubu defeated Peter Obi of the Labour Party by polling 231,591 votes.
Obi scored 175,071 votes to come second in the election, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar came third with 88,468 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) got 1,322 votes.
Tinubu’s victory is the handiwork of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers, who gave him the support after he worked against Atiku.
Atiku paid the price for not consenting to the demands of the 5-G governors who ruined his presidential ambition.
