On Tuesday, the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, led representatives of the ECOWAS Election Monitoring Team to visit Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC.

All Nigeria Latest News reports that the during the visit in Abuja, Goodluck Jonathan was accompanied by the former President of Ghana, John Mahama.

The APC’s presidential candidate is currently leading in the race to become Nigeria’s next president, succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

The ECOWAS team also met with Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The ECOWAS team appealed for calm in the country and called on INEC to address the concerns and procedural questions raised by various stakeholders.
