The Ifaki-Ekiti community has expressed their appreciation to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for appointing Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Ekiti State Government.

The community said the governor’s decision is a testament to his leadership and commitment to the development of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the President of Ifaki Progressives Union (IPU), Sir A.T Ogunjana, and the Vice President, Alhaji Lanre Sule Bakare on Tuesday in Ifaki-Ekiti.

They expressed their confidence in Senator Adetunmbi’s ability to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to bear in his new role.

The statement partly reads, “Senator Adetunmbi is a distinguished leader with a wealth of experience in various sectors of the economy.

“He has always demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, and we are confident that he will bring his exceptional leadership skills, vast knowledge, and experience to bear in his new role.

“As the Chief Economic Adviser to the Ekiti State Government, Senator Adetunmbi will undoubtedly provide sound economic advice to the government to enhance the economic growth and development of the state. We believe that his appointment will not only benefit the people of Ekiti State, but it will also have a positive impact on the entire country.”

The community also commended Adetunmbi for his decision to serve the state free of charge by not drawing any salary from the state government.

Meanwhile, the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, HRM Oba Adegbenro Falore has lauded Governor Oyebanji for his efforts in transforming Ekiti State into a model of good governance, where the interests of all communities are taken into consideration. He however, appealed to the Ekiti State government to rehabilitate and complete the Ifaki Housing Estate along the Iworoko-Ado road and to upgrade the moribund Ekiti AM radio stationed at Ifaki to FM radio.
