Ajoni Local Council Development Area in Ekiti State is taking bold steps to empower youths and reduce crime in the area through a groundbreaking initiative called “From Crime to Code.”

Under the visionary leadership of the Executive Chairman,Hon Prince Michael Ogungbemi, the Ajoni LCDA has partnered with T21 Services, a UK-based tech company, to provide valuable ICT training to young people in the area.

With the support of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, the training program aims to boost youth employment prospects and create a brighter future for the community.

Speaking about the project, Hon Prince Michael Ogungbemi expressed his excitement about the potential impact it could have on the lives of young people in the area.

He said, “We are committed to empowering our youths with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century economy.

“Through this partnership with T21 Services and the National Youth Council of Nigeria, we are confident that we can help transform the lives of many young people in our community.”

The NYCN Leader, Suraj Opeyemi Musa also expressed his enthusiasm for the project and declared NYCN readiness to partner with other relevant stakeholders and local governments in Ekiti State to replicate this model of success in other areas.

“This youth project is not just about equipping young people with technical skills but also about providing them with hope for a brighter future. With the support of visionary leaders and forward-thinking organizations, the youth of Ekiti State can overcome the challenges they face and build a brighter, more prosperous future for themselves and their community,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ajoni LCDA Chairman, Prince Michael Ogungbemi (PMO), has begun reshaping the road along Odo Ayedun/Ayebode Ekiti to avert impassable conditions for motorists and control traffic logjams en – route to Ekiti East and Lokoja.

Drainage along the Odo Ayedun highway are being cleared of blockages to control erosion and flooding around Klm 7, Ikole/Omuo Road.
