All Nigeria Latest News reports that the United Kingdom government has introduced the Chevening Scholarships, a fully-funded program that supports individuals in pursuing any master’s course at a UK university. This scholarship is primarily intended for international students and non-UK citizens.

Chevening Scholarships are granted to individuals from diverse backgrounds who can showcase their commitment and skills necessary to become future leaders. Applicants are required to demonstrate how pursuing a UK master’s degree will empower them to instigate positive change in their home country.

All Nigeria Latest News reports that this fully-funded scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for scholars to undertake an eligible master’s degree at any of the 150+ participating UK universities. Additionally, recipients gain access to a diverse array of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences as part of the scholarship program.

Applications to study in the UK with a Chevening Scholarship can be made between September 12 and November 7.


To be considered for the Chevening Scholarship Award, you must:

— Be a citizen of an eligible Chevening country
Hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2.1 (‘upper second-class honours’).

— Have two years’ work experience.

— Have an unconditional offer for a Masters at a UK university

— Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application.

It should be noted that having a master’s degree does not prevent you from applying for a Chevening Award to study for a second master’s degree in the UK, as long as you can clearly explain why it will help you fulfill your career plan to influence positive change in your home country.
