Rivers in Diaspora, a united front of dedicated Rivers State indigenes residing overseas, has expressed deep concern over recent developments that threaten the stability and advancement of Rivers State.

The group points out a sinister plot involving individuals from both within and outside the state, all aiming to create political chaos within the state.

According to the group, the primary objective of these conspirators appears to be the creation of discord between the esteemed Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and his mentor, Barrister Nyesom Wike, with the potential consequence of initiating impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara.

In addition to this, it has been uncovered that the conspirators are actively attempting to influence members of the State House of Assembly to support their malicious agenda.

Rivers in Diaspora stands resolute in its commitment to defend Governor Fubara’s dedication to good governance in Rivers State. They have made it clear that any attempts to divert the Governor from his path will meet vigorous legal opposition. Furthermore, they are prepared to mobilize peaceful protests of unprecedented magnitude, setting a new standard for opposition resistance in Nigeria.

A statement jointly signed by Johnson Eke Wise and Margaret Ijeoma Otti on Sunday conveys their concerns. They declare that as concerned citizens, they have previously advocated for the Niger Delta Agitators, recognizing their legitimate demands. However, if these subversive actions persist, they may have no choice but to engage their fellow Niger Delta brothers and sisters to put an end to the injustices being perpetrated in their state.

The group urged the governor to press forward with his remarkable efforts in serving Rivers State, assuring him that Rivers people, both at home and abroad, will not passively watch as nefarious forces attempt to undermine their progress.

The collective extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the cause of justice and equity in Rivers State.
