Pastor Ola Olukoyede, the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has banned sting operations at night time in all the Commands of the Commission.

EFCC in a statement signed by the Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, gave the directive in line with the newly-reviewed procedures on arrest and bail of suspects by the anti-graft agency.

Olukoyede issued the directive on Wednesday in Abuja in response to the apprehension of 69 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud. The suspects were arrested by operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Commission in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

All Nigeria Latest News reports that the EFCC said already, many of the suspects duly profiled by the Ibadan Command have been released, while profiling of suspects yet un-released will be completed, without further delay.

The anti-graft agency assured the public that it will not relent in its adherence to the rule of law, in the exercise of its mandate.
