Major political parties participating in the ongoing Imo State governorship election have leveled accusations against each other, alleging the inducement of voters with monetary incentives.

All Nigeria Latest News gathered that members of the Labour Party, the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress were giving money to voters at most polling centres visited across the state.

It was learnt that some polling units in Mbaitoli, Owerri Municipal, Owerri West, and Isiala Mbano local government areas received N10,000, while individual voters were allegedly provided with amounts ranging between N3,000 and N5,000.

At the GRA Owerri Municipal Council, specifically at units 007 and 008, certain voters were reportedly given N3000.

Also, at Ezinihitte Ward Mbaitoli LGA, units 016 and 015, voters were being given N5,000 each.

The same scenario was also witnessed in some booths in Isiala Mbano and Ikeduru LGAs.
