All Nigeria Latest News reports that Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Kogi State governorship election has said that he will not contest the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress, saying he has lost confidence in the judiciary.
Melaye, who came a distant third in the election, made accusations on Wednesday, alleging that the court is now an APC department rather than an autonomous institution.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced APC candidate, Usman Ododo, as the winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state.
The PDP governorship candidate said: “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
