All Nigeria Latest News reports that a helicopter of the Nigerian Air Force has crash-landed on Friday morning.

The incident, which reportedly occurred around 7:50am on Friday, at at the NAF base in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The incident was said to have caused panic around the base.

Confirming the accident, the NAF spokesman, Edward Gabkwet, said  all those onboard survived but they had minor injuries.  The helicopter with number NAF MI-35P crashed at 7.45am.

He said:  “Fortunately, the entire crew of 5 survived the crash with very minor injuries and are currently being attended to at NAF Medical Centre Port Harcourt.

“The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, is currently enroute Port Harcourt to access the situation for himself, see to the wellbeing of the crew and give further directives”.
