Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, has commended the State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) and the electorate for the peaceful conduct of the State Local Government elections.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after voting at the Odofin polling unit in Igbemo Ekiti, Olatunbosun attributed the success to the preparedness of EKSIEC, the early presence of electoral officers, and the professional conduct of security agencies.

He praised the orderly turnout of voters, crediting Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration for winning and sustaining the electorate’s trust through reliability, fairness, responsiveness, inclusiveness, and integrity.

Olatunbosun also commended political parties for complying with electoral laws, emphasizing the importance of local councils in democracy.

He pledged the Oyebanji administration’s commitment to improving people’s lives and the prosperity of the state.
