Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has instructed state security agencies to apprehend and bring to justice the individuals responsible for the bank robbery that occurred in Ikere-Ekiti on Wednesday.
Governor Oyebanji, who described the armed robbery incident that led to three fatalities as senseless and disheartening, expressed a firm commitment to leave no stone unturned in the efforts to apprehend and bring the perpetrators to justice.
All Nigeria Latest News reports that the governor in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, condoled with families of victims of the robbery, the Ogoga-in-Council and the people of Ikere Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji also directed government hospitals in the state to take proper care of those that got injured during the robbery attack.
Emphasizing the significance of local vigilance in ensuring security, the Governor urged citizens possessing information that could assist security agencies in their investigations to promptly share such details with the relevant authorities.
“The perpetrators of this heinous crime will not go unpunished. Our security agencies will go after them and ensure they face the guilt wrath of the law.
“Our condolences to the families of victims of the robbery attack and the Ikere people.” Governor Oyebanji said.
He urged the people of the state to remain calm and vigilant as they go about their daily activities, adding that government is committed to their security and safety and would not spare any efforts at ridding the state of criminal elements.
