An Ekiti State based social group, Ekiti Pacers is set to give back to the society in series of events and programs earmarked to celebrate its twenty years of existence with the focus on the group’s ideology of “laying the legacy.”
Speaking about the programs, the leader of the group, the Club’s Gov’nor, Alexander Oke said the “twentieth year celebration is purposely to celebrate God’s grace in the lives of the members of the group while reciprocating this by giving back to the society.”
“Ekiti Pacers has gone a long way, we have consistently prioritized the idea of promoting the betterment of the society and helping the downtrodden. One of our main objectives is to contribute our quota towards the development of our immediate environment and the society at large. In this regard, the twentieth anniversary is going to be marked in a very unique way through various programs.
More importantly, we are going to undergo a medical outreach where a large number of the populace will have access to free medical consultations, drugs and specific care.”
Ekiti Pacers, whose members are known as The Pacers was inaugurated in December 2003 by a group of like-minded friends with common burning desire to impact their community positively in addition to fostering deeper friendship and welfare of the members.
