The Organising committee for the first Ekiti Youth Fiesta has unveiled the logo and theme for the event.
A statement by the Chairman of the committee who is also the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students and Youths Matters ,Amb. Moses Ademiloye says the event is coming at the right time when young people seem to have been distracted by social vices noting that the event will serve as a unifying factor and avenue for values orientation as it is centred around Ekiti cultural heritage.
Ademiloye however commended Dr. Kayode Fayemi for his fatherly role to Ekiti youth and for not relenting in his efforts at engaging the youths meaningfully at all times.
Unveiling the event logo and theme ,the Chairman Media Committee ,Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso who is also the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media said the theme, “Together for Greatness ” was informed by the need to mobilize and reorientate Ekiti youths regardless of their background .
Omotoso said series of engagement of Mr. Governor with Ekiti Youths in the past few weeks birthed the Fiesta which does not only portray Dr. Fayemi as a youth friendly Governor but also as a listening leader who believes in the capacity and talents of Ekiti youths to transform the State.
She said the event is aimed at discovering talents, bridging the gap between Ekiti youths home and abroad as well as mobilising them for mentorship and empowerment.
Scheduled to take place on the 22nd and 23rd of December 2020 , the Ekiti Youth Fiesta would feature talent exhibition, cultural parade and walk in the Ado metropolis, village kitchen ,virtual games and more while local and national artistes are also billed to thrill the audience.
