The Senator representing the Good People of Ekiti North Senatorial District, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi has performed the handing over of the site for erosion, road construction and flood management projects to the contracting firm in Oye-Ekiti.

The Ecological Fund Office (EFO) which is a unit in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, contracted Messrs Stanbic Construction Ltd., to handle the projects.

The projects which was facilitated by Senator Adetunmbi Includes Erosion and Flood control at Oye-Ifaki road, beside YEMKEM house, Oye-Ekiti, flood management and road construction at Ilese Street, Oye-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

Addressing people at the site of the project, Senator Adetunmbi who was represented by his Director-General, Chief Segun Adelugba handed over the projects to the contractor explained that the projects is one of his electoral promises to his constituents.

Adetunmbi said that, when completed, the project would help to arrest the continuous soil erosion and flooding ravaging the area.

The Senator implored the stakeholders and the residents of the community to give the contractor and consultant the needed support and cooperation by ensuring the safety of their lives and property.

The representative of Messrs Stanbic Construction Ltd., Mr Sola promised to deliver based on the contract agreement. He revealed that the contract had the scope of construction of channels, road construction and drainages within the community.

He thank Senator Adetunmbi and EFO for opportunity given to them.

In his remarks, the Oloye of Oye-Ekiti, Oba (Sir) Micheal Oluwole Ademolaju thanked Senator Adetunmbi and EFO for the projects. He promised the community support for the contractor and consultant for the success of the projects.

In attendance are the representatives of the Senator led by his Personal Assistant; Hon. Moshood Lawal (Bamaiyi), representatives of Oye community led by the Oloye of Oye-Ekiti; Oba (Sir) Micheal Oluwole Ademolaju, the consultant of the project, the EFO team, the representatives of the contractor, Former Chairman of Oye Local Government; Hon. Bamitale Oguntoyibo, APC leaders in Oye-Ekiti, amongst others.
