The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 12 consuls-general and 5 chargè d’ affairs for 14 countries, All Nigeria Latest News reports.
Special assistant on media and communications strategy to Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs, Alkasim Abdulkadir revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.
The Minister charged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria
While asserting that they were pivotal to the economic drive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he further stressed that as seasoned career diplomats, they should shun the act of politicking and recommit themselves to their calling of diplomacy for the collective interest and development of Nigeria.
The new appointees are to resume immediately.
